Confidentiality

Our Commitment

All our staff follow the NHS Code of Confidentiality. This means they cannot share any details about a patient’s medical history, registration status, or care without the patient’s written consent.

How We Can Help

If you need to discuss a patient’s care or handle a complaint on their behalf, our staff can only do so once we have written consent and have verified it directly with the patient. This ensures we respect their privacy and wishes.

Please note:

  • This process does not apply to patients who already have a legally designated person or carer responsible for their medical care.
  • For consent, we recommend the patient visits the Practice to complete a simple form.

Why This Matters

We know family members and carers want to help, and we appreciate your support. These steps protect patient confidentiality and ensure we act in line with NHS standards. If you are refused access to information by our team, please consider the strict NHS Code of Confidentiality that staff are obligated to follow. Once the appropriate written consent is received, our team will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for understanding and helping us keep patient information safe.
